Acciai Speciali Terni Spa (AST) being part of Arvedi group, since January 2022, has a long industrial tradition with 140 years of presence on the market and now ranks among the most important European integrated cycle steel plants. The company’s core business consists of flat rolled stainless steel products, one of the top four manufacturers in Europe. In addition to flat rolled steel products, the company produces also forgings among the largest in the world, through its Forging Division (former SdF). Our manufacturing facilities cover the entire manufacturyng cycle, from casting to packaging. Forging Division can produce ingots up to 530 tons and it is the largest of the western world also with the 12600 tonns press with its integrated manipulator, producing forgings up to 270 tons

Acciai Speciali Terni (AST) is an Italian company belonging to Arvedi group. We are located in Terni, about 1.5 hours north of Rome. Main business is stainless steel, but since 1884, the forging division has always been the core of the company with its integrated cycle inside the plant (100% of production in Terni). From our ingots (up to 530 tons) we produce forgings for different applications (power generation, nuclear, petrochemical, automotive, renewable energy, off and on-shore application, heavy industry (extrusion presses, isostatic presses, etc.), marine, and steel and aluminum industries). For steel and aluminum industries, we manufacture forged backup and work rolls from a minimum weight of 20 tons up to 270 tons delivering worldwide.
